Researchers just discovered a novel compound called a polyamine which destroys Staphylococcus aureus by disrupting the pathogen’s cell membrane. This treatment for the MRSA superbug was developed by scientists at the University of Bath in the UK, as described in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology .
