Turning to stem cell research, scientists at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and the Georgia Institute of Technology have just announced an important breakthrough:  They have demonstrated that they can reverse the aging process for human adult stem cells, which are responsible for helping old or damaged tissues regenerate. These findings, which were published in the journal Cell Cycle, could lead to medical treatments for a wide range of ailments that occur because of tissue damage as people age. As human bodies get older, the regenerative power of tissues and organs declin.....
